Welcome to the SLO Days Additional Housing 2026!
Students, parents and supporters of incoming Cal Poly students have the option for a unique, on-campus experience separate from participating in Cal Poly's premier SLO Days new student orientation program.
For Students: Accommodations in Student Housing at YTT is included in your SLO Days registration for Day 1. Through the additional housing option, Students who are traveling can choose to arrive a day early and stay the night at Poly Canyon Village before attending SLO Days.
This is completely separate from registering and paying for participation in the SLO Days program.
For Parents & Supporters: You may choose to stay one or two nights in our on-campus dormitory-style apartments in Poly Canyon Village.
Again, this is completely separate from registering and paying for participation in the SLO Days program.
Each reservation includes a private room with a twin bed, accommodating one person per room. Each apartment contains 4 private bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with bathrooms shared between two guests. Apartments also feature a shared living space and kitchen.
Apartment rentals are available, which include 4 twin-sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with a maximum occupancy of 4 people.
Please be sure your student has already registered for SLO Days before registering for additional optional housing.

Choose from two options during SLO Days orientation:
OPTION 1: Single Bedroom in a Shared Apartment : $135 per person/per night
Experience student life to the fullest. Your private single occupancy bedroom will be one in a 4-bedroom, 2 bath apartment with shared living room and kitchen. Meet other students and families joining Cal Poly!
Bedrooms have a single XL Twin bed, basic linens, and bath towels.
OPTION 2: Private Family Apartment : $435 per night (Best Value!)
Guests who select a family apartment will be housed in a private, 4-bedroom, 2 bath apartment. Each bedroom has a single XL twin bed. Family Apartments can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests.
Amenities
Each apartment includes the following amenities:
- Bed linens, pillow and towels
- Use of oven, stove, microwave and refrigerator (utensils & cookware not provided)
- Access to swimming pool and complimentary laundry facilities
- Complimentary campus-wide guest Wi-Fi
Please note: Apartments do not have televisions, and buildings are LEED Gold Certified to reduce environmental impact and do not have air conditioning. Fans are available by request for a reduced-rate rental fee on a first-come, first-served basis.
When is Check-In/ Check-Out?
Check-in times will be emailed to you before your arrival date and check-out is by 10am on the departure date. Please note that our summer front desk is not staffed 24/7, and on-call support is available from 8pm-1am.
Can families stay more than one night?
Yes! Families may arrive the day before your registered SLO Days session (check in between 4pm-8pm) and stay for 2 nights.
Can incoming students stay in PCV?
Yes! Incoming students can check in the day before their registered SLO Days session (with or without additional family/parents present) and check out the morning their SLO Days Orientation starts.
Can we change our dates?
CEP asks families to complete and confirm the student's SLO Days session registration before reserving their additional accommodations. If plans change and a date change is needed, please contact CEP at 805-756-7603 or bthancoc@calpoly.edu
Is parking included?
Parking is not included in the overnight housing rates. Parking permits may be purchased in advance online.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed and cannot be accommodated in the apartments or during SLO Days programming. Please leave your pets at home. Service animals are always welcome.
How many people can we bring?
Each apartment can accommodate up to 4 people. There are 4 private bedrooms with a single twin-size bed in each bedroom. Student's SLO Days registration includes the option to add a maximum of two supporters for each orientation session.
Will I be sharing a room with people I don't know?
If you select a single bedroom, you will be assigned to a private bedroom in a shared apartment where you will have the opportunity to meet other students and families who are on campus for the same experience! Guests who reserve together will be assigned to private bedrooms within the same apartment.
Guests who reserve a full private family apartment will not share with other families.
