Modeling Series 2025

Cal Poly Modeling Workshop Series
Biology 1 - Chemistry 1 - Physics 1
Cal Poly's Center for Engineering, Science, and Mathematics (CESAME) and the NOYCE Western Regional are pleased to offer two-week professional development courses this summer.
These workshops are structured around inquiry approaches to high school chemistry, physics and biology teaching that incorporate computer technology and insights from current content and education research. Teachers will develop skills in fostering scientific discourse and presentation and in assessment of student learning. By designing and carrying out a series of investigations that use the Modeling Method teachers will practice Socratic questioning techniques that will enable them to teach physics, biology, and/or chemistry using the Modeling Method.
