The California Athletics & Physical Education Workshop promotes interest in professional advancement for physical educators at the elementary and secondary levels. Through a comprehensive curriculum, the workshop provides opportunities for professional development in the areas of physical education, health, recreation and dance.
This week-long, educational experience includes standards-based lesson planning, professional development, and networking opportunities.

Continuing Education Units
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to all CAPE participants and can be purchased and registered for at Cal Poly Extended Education website or at arrival of workshop.

Workshop Registration Fees*
Workshop Registration Price: $974 per person
Last-Minute Registration Price (June 24-July 1): $999 per person
On-Site Registration (day-of) Price: $1049 per person

*Participants who select on-campus lodging will receive $75 off their registration.

- No purchase orders can be accepted
- A 3% payment processing fee will be added to the total for all registrations at checkout.

Lodging & Accommodation Options
Workshop participants may stay on or off campus. Participants who select on-campus lodging will receive $75 off their registration.
Lodging is provided in Poly Canyon Village (PCV) Apartments, an easy walking distance to all workshop activities and meals.
On-Campus Lodging Package: $727.50 per person
Includes:
- 6 Night Stay
- Single-room in a 4-person occupancy apartment
- Complimentary wi-fi access (campus wide)
- Towels
- Bed Linens (sheets, blanket, pillow)
- Complimentary laundry room access
Campus Lodging Policies:
- Smoking is prohibited on campus or in any public building in the City of San Luis Obispo.
- Occupancy of recreational vehicles on campus is prohibited.
